2. How to Check Your Case Status

You can track your case online anytime by visiting the USCIS case status portal:

Just enter your receipt number. You’ll see if your case is “being processed,” if more evidence is needed, or if a decision has been made.

3. How Long Will It Take?

4. What Comes Next?

  • A biometrics appointment to capture your fingerprints and photo
  • A notice for an interview, especially in adjustment of status or family petitions
  • A Request for Evidence (RFE) if USCIS needs more documentation
