Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) is a program to provide protection from removal (deportation) from the United States for individuals who entered the United States as minors. DACA does not grant anyone a visa status and is not a permanent benefit.

Can I still apply for DACA in 2019?
At this time, USCIS is no longer accepting requests from anyone who has not previously been granted deferred action under DACA. If you have already been granted deferred action on or after September 5th, 2017, you may request to renew your grant.
Who is eligible for DACA?
To apply for DACA, you must have:
- Been under 30 years of age as of June 15, 2012;
- Came to the United States before your 16th birthday;
- Have lived in the United States continuously since you submitted your most recent DACA request that was approved;
- Not been convicted of a felony, a significant misdemeanor, or three or more other misdemeanors; and
- Do not pose a threat to national security or public safety.
