What is DACA?

Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) is a program to provide protection from removal (deportation) from the United States for individuals who entered the United States as minors. DACA does not grant anyone a visa status and is not a permanent benefit.

With DACA, you may be able to obtain a work authorization card, Social Security number, and a driver’s license or ID card.
